BEDDING DISPLAYS A feature of many gardens is their seasonal bedding displays. Many gardens have discontinued with these becase of stretched resources, but the Wellington Botanic Garden continues with its tradition of these seasonally changing displays. The summer tulip has been a feature for many years, with some 25,000 to 30,000 bulbs planted annually. Once these are finished, the summer plantings take place, featuring a range of plants with emphasis on colour and varying texture.
